I just discovered this great Earth Fair 2008. It will be on Sunday, April 20, 2008 in Balboa Park. Says it is the world’s largest annual environmental fair and I didn’t even know this existed. Check out all the exhibitors, I’ll be there!
Green Prefab and Modular Homes in San Diego
March 21, 2008The last firestorm left hundreds of families without a home or their personal belongings. The resulting aftermath of construction was massive. Many people opted in for prefab and modular homes in San Diego areas that were leveled by the fires. I just read an article that talks about green prefab homes. What a great idea, especially in this market where San Diego is still on the higher end of pricing and permits can be a long and grueling process.

Ideas for sprucing up that green home
March 20, 2008One of the hottest items on the market is non-toxic and low-toxic paints. Home Depot carries a product called Freshaire that has no VOC’s and low VOC’s in the colorant. There’s also a list of suppliers on the site. You won’t have to sacrifice color either. Fun site, roll over the tree http://freshairechoice.com/
Grow a green kitchen
March 20, 2008A company called Sub-Zero & Wolf have been in business for more than 60 years. Even their largest refrigeration product uses less electricity than a 100-watt bulb. I have to ask myself, why are we in an energy crisis when these products have been around for so long? Don’t answer that, it’s obvious. The good thing is the internet has exposed all these products now for the consumer to get wise and rise to the occasion. Go to their site and request a brochure, won’t cost you a dime and probably save you thousands of dollars over a lifetime. http://www.subzero.com/constantcare/requestbrochure.aspx
Pink toilets
March 19, 2008It’s the end of the day and yet another idea blows my skirt up. A pink eco-friendly toilet, Barbie step back, this one’s mine! www.envirolet.com.
